What Is U3A? U3A stands for the University of the Third Age and is a learning cooperative enabling members to share educational, creative and leisure activities and enjoy life!
University? University in the original sense of the word: a collective of people devoted to learning, with members not students.
Third Age? The First Age is that of childhood dependence, the Second Age is that of full-time employment and parental responsibility----- and then there is the Third Age!
One in four of the U.K. population are in their Third Age.
Although our normal monthly meetings take place in Tattenhall, this newly formed branch was established to serve the entire rural areas of West Cheshire.
There is no lower age limit for membership!
